LI'L RED RIDING HOOD Edit
1966, Sam The Sham & The Pharaohs, written by Ron Blackwell Edit
This song, based on the original story of Little Red Riding Hood, explores explicitly the connection between an actual wolf, a man with concealed sexual intentions. The song explores the connections between the sexual relationship between Lil Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf. Through doing this, the strip away the metaphoric sense that one can decipher from the original fairy tale. Sam The Sham & The Pharaohs completed leave out the metaphors and implied senses and directly deliver the material in a sexual, and borderline creepy way. The characters are present in a literal sense.
It can be noted that the song ends with Sam the Sham "Bahhhing" multiple times, like a sheep would. Throughout the song, he claims that he is wearing a sheep's skin, and is hiding his sexual intentions. He says He claims that she's "Everything a big bad wolf could want". He goes on to compliment her, saying "what big eyes you have", and, it should be noted that this is not part of the fairy tale, "what full lips you have".
