Historical/theoretical context of Bram Stoker's Dracula

One of the most well-known vampire novels in the world is Bram Stoker's Dracula. Bram Stoker was born in Dublin, Ireland on the 8th of November in the year 1847. For the majority of Bram Stoker's young 


imaginative years he  was bed ridden due to an unknown illness. He was bed ridden until he was 7 and started school. As a young child bound to his quarters in the gloomy and drizzly country, Ireland one can only assume  Stoker's  imagination ran wild beginning his creative juices that would lead to his novel, Dracula.


The original Dracula, written by Bram Stoker, was published in 1897 when Bram was 50 years old.
