    The story "Little Red Riding Hood " by Charles Perrault is slightly different than most of the versions of the story that is told in the United States of America (see below for photo from American version). Overall, there are many different variations of the story that children across the globe hear as it is one of the most popular fairy tales. These variations include "Little Red Hat " and the version by the Grimm brothers . In the story by Perrault, the story ends with the little girl being eaten by the big bad wolf, who clearly is not trying to show any mercy.     There is without a doubt that the portrayal of Vampires has evolved through time. Whether we are talking about the vampire, or upyr', from Bucket of Blood from the Origins of the European Vampire, or we're talking about Bram Stoker's Dracula, there is quite a difference and change that is shown. In Bucket of Blood, the vampire is shown as blood thirsty and villainous, not showing any remorse by killing a boy by stabbing him in the back and doing the same to an old man (22). Both old men and young boys are considered innocent, sensitive types of people and this sort of brutal attack demonstrates the way that Vampires are considered in this case and time period.
